Chicago Roots

I just learned that some of the sayings my family used when I was a child come from Chicago where my mother grew up and my parents lived for a few years before moving to Columbia...

"gym shoes" instead of "tennis shoes"
"front room" instead of "living room"

The birds found the feeder...

but so did the squirrels - even after I moved it to the backyard...

Birds - 0, Squirrels - 1

The birds haven't found my new bird feeder but the squirrels sure have...
